Here are the guidelines to have a vibrant, fun and safe platform to exchange ideas about life in general and information about retirement life.
The Seniors Forum is a free online meeting place that provides a safe, secure environment for readers of Seniors Today to exchange ideas and information. To do a little gupshup, find friends, have fun in retirement. And of course express oneself.
To ensure everyone has fun on The Seniors Forum, we have created these easy-to-follow guidelines.
While we encourage the sharing of opinions, it’s important to remember that no one opinion is right, therefore, no one has the right to disparage another person’s comment. If you don’t agree with a point of view, please respond with an intelligent rebuttal. It’s okay to say someone’s point is silly, but it’s not fine to say that the person is stupid. Debate, but pyaar se. Minus the disrespect.
So, please, follow our guidelines and enjoy yourselves on The Seniors Forum.
We expect that members will interact as they would in a face-to-face social situation. Just because you are behind a computer/mobile device does not mean you should not extend the same common courtesy to other members as you would in person. Pretend you’re sitting at a table over chai or coffee and try to maintain a level of civility that you would show in a public place. It is a public forum after all.
Be respectful of other members. We will not tolerate personal attacks, harassment or bullying of other members.
Should you post something that is considered to be inappropriate or offensive, we will not allow it to posted and this will be considered your first unofficial warning. Because we will deal with several comments each day, if you do not see your post on the forum, it may be assumed that your post was not found to be appropriate. You could of course mail the moderator,
