Mare Of Easttown
Kate Winslet shines in this seven-part miniseries set in a small town
in Pennsylvania, with more than the normal number of dysfunctional
households, if the experiences of Mare Sheehan’s jaded detective are any
indication. She herself has to deal with an alcoholic mother, secretive
teenage daughter and an ex-husband, about to get remarried and moving
into the house next door to rub salt in Mare’s wounds. Her drug addicted
son had committed suicide, and she has to battle for custody for her
grandson with her junkie daughter-in-law. Intense and absorbing with
an explosive climax, this one’s a must-watch.
