the song traces the character’s repentance

Azmi writes “Yeh duniya yeh mehfil mere
kaam ki nahin”.

One of the most touching songs depicting
loneliness, this was sung with deep emotion
by Kishore Kumar. Written by Yogesh, it was
composed by SD Burman.

A nostalgic reflection sung by Mukesh
and picturised on Raj Kapoor. Music is by
Shankar-Jaikishen in raag Shivranjini and
lyrics are by Hasrat Jaipuri, who writes
“Chaahe kahin bhi tum raho, chaahenge
tumko umr bhar, tumko na bhool paayenge”.

Chowdhury and written by Gulzar. The song
talks about a man’s need for a companion.
