Seniors Have Talent: Season 3 Kicks-off!

And we kick – off a new season of song and fun!

The objective of Seniors Have Talent is to recognize and encourage the immense talent that exists in the ever-growing number of senior citizens in the world. But, more importantly, the idea is for all participants to have fun as they share their talent.

Season 3 kicked off on February 7, 2021, bringing with renewed enthusiasm, loads of talented and sporting seniors and great fun to top it all!

 

Rajendra Kumar Sachdeva

Song- Na Ja Kahin Ab Na Ja Dil Ke Siva
Singer- Mohammed Rafi
Music- Laxmikant-Pyarelal
Film- Mere Humdum Mere Dost

Rajendra lives in Delhi NCR and is a retired gazetted officer from the Delhi High Court. He is passionate about singing.

 


Suneel Alshi 

Song- Chandan Sa Badan
Singer- Mukesh
Music- Kalyanji Anandji
Film- Saraswatichandra (1968)


A retired chemical engineer from Mumbai Suneel is currently an independent Project Management Consultant. His interests other than singing include photography and socializing.


Rajeshwari Shah

Song- Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki
Singer- Mohammed Rafi
Music- Naushad
Film- Dulari

Rajeshwari is a full time housewife who is very passionate about music and fond of writing poetry.

Music is a medium to keep her fit and healthy and gives immense happiness. Yes, I have got the age right age, perhaps music bestows the look of youthfulness which comes from inner happiness!


K Balakrishnan

Song- Wo Shaam Kuch Ajeeb Thi
Singer- Kishore Kumar
Music – Hemant Kumar
Film – Khamoshi (1969)

A former banker from Bangalore and is crazy about driving. And sings like a star. Wow!


Raghavendra Odeyar 

Song- Humne Tujh Ko Pyar Kiya
Singer- Mukesh
Music-Kalyanji-Anandji
Film- Dulha Dulhan

Raghavendra retired from Sandoz India. For him, music is to the soul what exercise is to the body.


Suresh Kokate 

Song: Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi

Singer: Kishore Kumar 

Film: Mr. X In Bombay 

Music: Laxmikant-Pyarelal 


Retired from Indian Railways, Suresh now works as a pharmacist.

Hailing from Amravati; for him “being human” is priority, and a matter of pride too.

 


Renu Mathur

Song- Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu…
Singer- Asha Bhosle
Music- Ravi
Film- Waqt

Renu is a former banker from Jaipur. Music is her passion. It gives her peace of mind and happiness.

She plays the harmonium and has an MA in vocal music.

 


Vishnu Bhargava

Song- Bekarar Kar Ke Hume Yuun Na Jaaiye

Singer- Hemant Kumar
Music- Hemant Kumar
Film- Bees Saal Baad

Vishnu has completed his MBA from IIM Calcutta and worked with MNCs like Coca-Cola and PepsiCo etc. and currently lives in Gurgaon or Gurugram.

For him music is meditation, peace-giving and – time pass!

 


Bhole Singh Lodhi

Bhole Singh is from Delhi and loves music.


Jayarathna Kumar

Jayarathna is from Navi Mumbai and is a retired Sales & Marketing professional in FMCG companies. Music is enjoyment and relaxation. He is interested in Travelling, Watching web serials etc.

 


Singri Ranganath

Music – R D Burman
Film- Kati Patang


Originally from Mysore, Singri lives in Bangalore. For him, music is his “second better half” of his life.

He loves travelling and visiting pilgrim shrines.


Munjal Mehta

Song- Raat Ke Humsafar
Singer- Mohammed Rafi & Asha Bhosle
Music- Shankar-Jaikishan
Film- An Evening In Paris

Munjal hails from Pune and runs a business of manufacturing cryogenic equipment for ISRO.

Music is meditation and is his go-to remedy for peace and inner calm.


Giridhargopal 

Song- Jane Wo Kaise Log The JinKo
Singer- Hemant Kumar
Music- S D Burman
Film- Payasa


Giridhargopal  is an Electrical Engineer from Coimbatore. He worked in Botswana for many years. Music is his passion and a stress-reliever.


Panambur Ranjan Rao

Song: Mitwa Re Mitwa

Singer: Pankaj Udas

Music: Laxmikant-Pyarelal
Film: Jawab

An advocate from Mangalore for the past 40 years. Panambur  is a philanthropist , always helping people in need.

Singing is his hobby and passion and he loves every moment he spends listening to his favourite songs!


Suresh Tikamdas Tahiliani

Song- Tum Jo Hamare Meet Na Hote
Singer- Mukesh
Music- Shankar – Jaikishan
Film- Ashiq (1962)


Suresh  is a retired Marine offshore engineer from Mumbai. He is health conscious and plays table tennis, swims laps, practises yoga and works out at the Gym.

If all this hasn’t impressed you, he also treks very often – proving he can pretty much do it all!

Oh, did we forget to mention? He sings soulfully as well!
