In the Popular Choice category, Dr Satish Chander Chetal, and Sunil Naik won the majority vote and in the Editor’s Choice, Rooplata Chaukulkar and K V S Raman emerged as winners.
The objective of Seniors Have Talent is to recognise and encourage the immense talent that exists in the ever-growing number of senior citizens in the world. But, more importantly, the idea is for all participants to have fun as they share their talent.
Season 2 of Seniors Have Talent took off on November 29 and on Sunday, December 6, the winners of Group A were announced.
First a look at the winners: In the Popular Choice category, Dr Satish Chander Chetal, and Sunil Naik won the majority vote and in the Editor’s Choice, Rooplata Chaukulkar and K V S Raman emerged as winners.

Dr Satish Chander Chetal is a 62-year-old young doctor with the Delhi Government since 1987, exposing him to work experience over 10 major organisations spanning the last 33 years
All said or shall we say, sung, and done, music is his very heartbeat, and he advocates its as a healer of the mind and for relaxation of the body.
His favourite Singers are Mukesh, Kishore Kumar and Mohd. Rafi.
The good doctor also loves to write, whether it be a feature story, a humorous anecdote, or some wistful poems. He loves the fine arts and is an active participant in community awareness programs.

61-year-old Sunil Naik is a born and brought up Mumbaikar and a retired Senior Bank Manager. As a child he loved listening to Hindi, Marathi, light music songs and these were his accompaniments through to adulthood. Mohd. Rafi & Kishore Kumar have always been his favourite singers.
Blessed with a multi- talented personality, he can deftly sketch any film star you name! He can strum up some tunes on the guitar and jamming on the tabla, Bongo/ Congo is an art he can lose himself doing. Plus, he’s a Judo champ, having won accolades in inter-collegiate tournaments.

Rooplata seems to have done it all, and then some! This spirited 66-year-old is a retired lecturer, but evidently her life has bloomed in innumerable ways thereafter.
Not only is she a certified yoga instructor who also conducts chair yoga classes for The Dignity Foundation members (on an honorary basis); she is an active sports person having participated in many marathons. The most recent being a 21km run in September which pledged support to the Covid warriors fighting the pandemic.
Hailing from Mumbai, Rooplata feels she was born with her soul singing! Music is in her blood, and thanks to her mum’s inspiration she learnt formal Carnatic music and played the Veena since she was a child. Her favourite singers- are Talat Mahmood, Asha Bhosle, Mohd Rafi.
K V S Raman

KVS Raman lives in Bangalore and is a retired VP (Sales & Marketing) of a well-known cement company.
He strongly believes that music is a force – that brings peace of mind and helps develop one’s spirituality. He grew up listening to classical music from his young age. His elder sisters were his great influencers. His favourite singers are Mohd. Rafi, Manna Dey and Talat Mahmood.
KVS Raman enjoys books from the mythological era of India and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about our ancient saints, scholars, and freedom fighters.
