One of the best parts of our talent show is the finals. As we look forward to our finale here’s another look at our finalists:
#01 Kailash BalaniÂ
He is a businessman – in fact a book publisher – and has travelled to more than 45 countries for business and pleasure. He runs a music institute called the ‘Global Music Institute’ based in Greater Noida.
#02 Prem Kumar ChawlaÂ
Mr Chawla retired as a DGM from ONGC. He plays the Tabla and Dholak. His other interests are travelling and photography.
#03 M C RajuÂ
He is a former banker. Mr Raju loves music, sports and visiting places.
#04 Maya ShyamÂ
She is a retired Biology teacher and finance controller. Music brings her joy and motivation. It destresses her anytime. Her other interests are cooking, knitting, sewing, gardening, reading amongst other things.
#05 Vinod Balani
He is passionate about singing and fond of cooking and can prepare some mouth-watering delicacies. He loves Travelling, Singing and Cooking.
#06 Ramesh ChandnaÂ
He is a businessman and is fond of music. He plays the Dholak.
#07 Munindra Nath BezbaroaÂ
He is a former banker. Music is his passion. He can play a number of musical instruments like the Guitar, Keyboard, Harmonium, Dholak, Tabla etc.
#08 Surendra Singh KhalsaÂ
He retired as a Group General Manager of ONGC. He plays the Harmonium. His interests are reading the Religious Gurbani and Cricket.
#09 Rajendra Pal Gautam
He retired from a PSU. He plays the Harmonium. His other interests are Driving, Gardening. He loves flowers and the chirping of birds.
#10 Sudha Dave
Sudha is a retired teacher. Music is her passion and life. She plays the harmonium and the Sitar.
#11 Geetha JayaramÂ
Geetha has a doctorate in Physics and was teaching and researching in Physics in Osmania University, Hyderabad for more than 17 years. Subsequently, she relocated to Chennai and entered the IT arena in the learning and development, marketing and communications areas for 15 years.
#12 Thakur DoultaniÂ
He is an architect and Shah Rukh Khan, Oberoi builders, Lokhandwala Construction, Videocon Properties, McDonald’s, Apple Industries and many others are his clients. Music is his life and he plays the Harmonium.
#13 Dr Santosh Kumar PattanayakÂ
He is from Baripada in Orissa and is passionate about music.
#14 Anil ShrivastavaÂ
He was head of sales and marketing in a Hinduja Group Company. For him, music is relaxation, joy and peace of mind. His Other Interests are Painting, Drawing, Playing cricket and badminton.
#15 Subramaniam VishwanathanÂ
He is an Electrical Engineer by profession and has worked at different power plants and engineering consultancies. Now pursuing his hobbies of singing and creative writing, most of which is based on old Hindi Film Music. According to him, music keeps one mentally young in old age.
#16 Mirza Nasir KhanÂ
Singing and listening to old songs is his hobby and passion. He loves wildlife and bird watching.
#17 Major J P Bhatnagar (Retired)
He retired as Major from Indian Army and he has taken active part during 1965 as well as 1971 wars. His other interests are Sketching, Painting and Yoga.
#18 Seetha JayaramanÂ
She is a Special Educator and was working in the Indian School at Muscat in Oman, teaching differently abled children with various skills as per their capacity and grasping power. To her, music is a great stress buster.
#19 Geeta SinghÂ
She owns a business that manufactures and markets apparels for women. To her, music is meditation and a therapeutic experience to oneness. Indeed!
#20 Mahesh RamchandaniÂ
He is a writer and has worked in print, television and written a film as well. His interest other than singing is Photography.
#21 Kadaba Narayan Srinivasan
He is a Mechanical Engineer and music is his passion. He plays the Guitar. His other interests are Shayari, Scripting and Event Management.
#22 Amar Rajani
He is from Faridabad in Haryana. His passion is music and hobbies are Travelling, Watching Movies.
#23 Dr Dhananjaya Desai
He is a Dental Surgeon, practising for the last 35 years. He loves Music, Photography, Videography, Editing and Trekking. He plays the Harmonium and the Keyboard.
#24 Col C S Shankar
He retired as a Colonel from the Indian Territorial Army and was later Executive Director at Indian Oil. Cooking and Gardening are his other hobbies.
