Mutton momos served with hot tomato chutney is a perfect recipe to prepare on a rainy day.

Ingredients

For the stuffing

250 gms Mutton Kheema

3 Medium sized onions

2 Inch ginger

Handful of coriander leaves

Salt to taste

For the dough

1 cup Maida or all purpose flour

Salt to taste

Room temperature water to knead

Ghee or oil for greasing dough and the steamer

Preparation

-Knead the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.

-To the kheema add finely chopped onions, ginger, coriander and salt, mix it well.

– After the dough has rested, shape them into small balls and begin with rolling out wraps for the stuffing. Make sure that the wrap is not too thin or thick.

– Fill the wrap with half a tbsp of kheema mixture and begin folding.

– On the side keep a pot of water to boil for steaming momos.

– Once momos are ready to steam, place it over the boling water and cover it.

-Since it’s mutton momos it requires at least 30-40 minutes to cook. After 30-40 minutes of steaming, let it sit for a few minutes and serve it with momo chutney.
