Mutton momos served with hot tomato chutney is a perfect recipe to prepare on a rainy day.Â
Ingredients
For the stuffing
250 gms Mutton Kheema
3 Medium sized onions
2 Inch gingerÂ
Handful of coriander leaves
Salt to taste
For the dough
1 cup Maida or all purpose flour
Salt to taste
Room temperature water to knead
Ghee or oil for greasing dough and the steamer
Preparation
-Knead the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
-To the kheema add finely chopped onions, ginger, coriander and salt, mix it well.
– After the dough has rested, shape them into small balls and begin with rolling out wraps for the stuffing. Make sure that the wrap is not too thin or thick.
– Fill the wrap with half a tbsp of kheema mixture and begin folding.
– On the side keep a pot of water to boil for steaming momos.
– Once momos are ready to steam, place it over the boling water and cover it.
-Since it’s mutton momos it requires at least 30-40 minutes to cook. After 30-40 minutes of steaming, let it sit for a few minutes and serve it with momo chutney.Â
