20 Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum/ Silsila, 1981
With Yash Chopra’s Silsila, classical musicians Shivkumar Sharma and Hariprasad Chaurasia made their film debut as music directors under the name Shiv-Hari. The song ‘Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum’, written by Javed Akhtar and picturized on Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, became an anthem of its time. Lata Mangeshkar is in glowing form, and Amitabh Bachchan’s recitation of the nazm ‘Main Aur Meri Tanhai’ received rave reviews.
