S.D. Burman was one of the most versatile composers of his time. In this song from Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa, he brings out the sheer romance in a dream sequence. Dutt and Mala Sinha show perfect eye contact as they dance the waltz to some fascinating lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi, sung by Mohammed Rafi and Geeta Dutt. The wonderful melody line has made it a sing-along favorite.
