S.D. Burman was one of the most versatile composers of his time. In this song from Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa, he brings out the sheer romance in a dream sequence. Dutt and Mala Sinha show perfect eye contact as they dance the waltz to some fascinating lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi, sung by Mohammed Rafi and Geeta Dutt.
