And the Winners are…

The objective of Seniors Have Talent is to recognize and encourage the immense talent that exists in the ever-growing number of senior citizens in the world. But, more importantly, the idea is for all participants to have fun as they share their talent.

We announce the winners of Group C, both popular choice and editor’s choice.

It was a tough call but here’s who emerged victorious:

Popular Choice:

Sarv Krishan Punj 

Song: Jalte Hain Jiske Liye Teri Aankhon Ke Diye             

Singer: Talat Mahmood      

Music: S D Burman                                   

Film: Sujata

Sarv is an 82-year-old civil engineer from Delhi.

For him music is the “Shorthand of emotion”, a “language of the spirit”, a “soundtrack of life”, and it finds its way through secrets.


Ranjan Kulshreshtha 

Song: Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon

Singer: Mukesh

Music: Khayyam

Film: Kabhi Kabhi


A Chemical Engineer and entrepreneur from Kanpur, this 66-year-old sings for his own joy! What can possibly be better?


Editor’s Choice


Dr M K Mukharjee

Song: Ye Sham Mastani

Singer: Kishore Kumar

Music: R D Burman

Film: Kati Patang 

An ex-employee of Ultratech Cement from Noida, this 63-year-old doctor also plays the tabla.

His dream is to tour around the world with family and friends.


Tarlochan Tochi 

Song: Dil Ka Bhanwar Kare Pukar

Singer: Mohammed Rafi

Music: S D Burman

Film: Tere Ghar Ke Samne (1963)


Tarlochan is from Amritsar and has won more than 500 awards from different organizations, the most prestigious being The Golden Medal in Religious singing. 

He plays the harmonium and bongo.

Pandit Hemraj Ji (Music director from Mumbai) trained Tarlochan in music.
