Christmas will always be… as long as we stand heart to hand, hand in hand. – Dr Seuss
Christmas 2023 is here and it seems like just yesterday we were wrapping up Christmas 2022 and ushering a New Year.
Time flies dear seniors!
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of shopping, gifting, feasting, partying; and while these are experiences we must enjoy, don’t miss what this special time is all about: helping others through selfless acts of kindness. Christmas is about filling hearts around us with peace and joy, and giving to those that may be less fortunate.
In keeping with the simplicity of the birth of Jesus Christ, let us also strive towards humility and nobility. Nothing embodies the spirit of Christmas more than giving – of your time, your love, your smiles, your joy. Touching someone’s life in an unforgettable way will indeed bring alive the true meaning of Christmas.
Let’s remind ourselves to be kind above all else.
We at Seniors Today, wish you and your loved ones, peace that comes from within; the lasting sort of peace
Joy that also takes form, from a space within you that is truly joy filled — with special moments and memories
Laughter and fun that brightens up your days and takes you through the next year
Light – a bright light that only divinity can bestow on you; the kind of light within you that burns strong even when you feel your lowest — you know you have the blessings of that source.
Merry Christmas dear readers! May you be of good cheer, have a wonderful day and catch up on some of our favourite Christmas-themed movies:
- Elf
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- Home Alone
- The Santa Clause
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas
