Oat Muffins - The Seniors Kitchen

Today Shobha Dravid is showcasing her Oatmeal Muffins Recipe in  the Seniors Kitchen. 

Oats are among the healthiest grains. They’re a gluten-free whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. 

Oats are also often included in muffins, granola bars, cookies and other baked goods, a healthy addition to any dish.

We are sure you are going to love this recipe and it’s so easy to make!

Oats Recipe

(For One dozen muffins)

Blend together:

2 eggs

1 c milk

1/2c brown sugar or castor sugar 

1/3 c oil

1 t vanilla

1/2 t salt

Add to it, mixed well together:

1 c flour you can use all maid OR 1/2maida and 1/2whole wheat flour, OR all whole wheat flour (atta)

1  c oats

1/2 t soda

1 t baking powder

Note: For sugar free muffins substitute 1/4 cup splenda and 1/2 cup applesauce or 1 mashed banana

Put the mix in a muffin pan and add raisins, nuts etc individually to each muffin cup and poke them into the batter with a fork.

Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes or a knife or toothpick inserted in it comes out clean.

Enjoy them fresh and warm from the oven!
