It’s a fact that bears to be repeated like a mantra over and over again, until we fully comprehend it. The health of our bodies and minds is inextricably linked to our planet’s well – being.
And our Earth is ailing.
Some of the several challenges that our Earth face include but is not at all restricted to the following:
- Water pollution
- Air pollution
- Water scarcity
- Soil erosion
- Climate change
- Irregular and unpredictable weather patterns
- Danger to animals in the wild and urban areas
- Deforestation
Truth being said, we all know the probable irreversible damage that we have done to our Earth – all in the name of progress and advancements.
If we care to be the change in small ways, here are some habits that we can follow and teach others:
- Save water
- Reduce and slowly eliminate the use of plastic
- Stop throwing things we don’t need into the sea, lakes, rivers and other water bodies
- Plant more trees, encourage more gardens and green areas
- Limit polluting the air – don’t burn garbage, don’t burst fire- crackers, try to use fans more than air-conditioners, share cars or use public transport, use less chemicals, use less energy
- Choose sustainability – whether cotton clothes, sharing cars, taking flights, being mindful before consuming things of the earth
- Learning and educating people on climate change and how our daily habits directly affect it
- Learn how we can support our flora and fauna and natural ecological systems so that all sentient beings can habit the earth like they were meant to
