The Seniors Kitchen: Amrakhand

Amrakhand or mango shrikhand is a variation to your regular shrikhand. It is made from thick curd or chakka and mango pulp. 

Shrikhand is a very much popular and favourite recipe. Amrakhand goes well with hot, fluffy puris or chapati’s

INGREDIENTS

 250 gm Strained yogurt 

250 gm Powdered sugar

 Mango pulp 

1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

 3~4 tsp Milk to Small Table spoon of saffron 

 

INSTRUCTIONS 

Take chakka or strain yogurt in a strainer and strain it really well into a bowl. 

Cook Mango pulp for 2-3 minutes in a pan to get thick consistency

You can decide the quantity of mango pulp according to your taste. 

Transfer chakka in a bowl and add pulp, powdered sugar and cardamom powder, Saffron Milk and mix well. 

Garnish with a few pistachios and small mango pieces.

Enjoy with hot puris, chapatis!
