Ingredients
½ kg Mutton
Curry Leaves
1 Cup Ghee
Water
For marinating:
Jeera, Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic, Ginger. Grind these to make a paste.
Method:
- Jeera, Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic, Ginger. Grind these to make a paste.
- Marinate the mutton by coating it completely. Leave it for up to two hours or overnight.
- In a preheated pressure cooker Add one cup ghee once the Ghee is hot enough add the mutton pieces.
- Cook it for 15-20 minutes, Fry the Mutton till the water is completely dry.
- Once the water has dried and the ghee is separated, add some curry leaves and give it a nice stir.
- Now add two glasses of water, and pressure cook it for four whistles or up to 13 minutes.
- Once you open the pressure cooker, you will see there is some water in there still, we need to cook the Mutton till the water completely dries up.
- There you have it – Mutton Chettinad, Serve it with some bread.
